What stands behind an idea

He argues with stories, and not every story is proof. Every idea comes back saying what is behind it:

  1. his own work or experience, with a result
  2. a real case with a result, told as fact
  3. a study or statistic
  4. a case he hedges, or one with no stated result
  5. an illustration only — an analogy, an example, a book
  6. argument alone

Of his 208 recommendations, 41 rest on a real case with a result and 99 on argument alone. The server says which, so an answer never presents an argued point as a proven one.

What it does not know

It is 49 videos: 27 episodes of The Bottleneck podcast and 16 MAD//Masters videos from 2025–26, four TED and TEDx talks, The Diary of a CEO and the Welcome Conference. It is not his book Alchemy, his columns or his other interviews, so a story he is famous for may be missing — and the server says so rather than filling the gap.

Honesty

Every answer carries his own words, whose idea it is (guests bring their own, and are labelled), whether a connection was stated on camera or drawn between passages, how many videos he says it in, who a recommendation is aimed at, whether he tells a story as fact or hedges it, and when a view is dated or a prediction.
